Little Cars by Lilian Hardouineau / Patea Films

Does anyone actually remember Atomic Kitten? The Locomotion? Come on Baby…I’m showing my age aren’t I. Little Cars is a fantastic film about street racing pieces of paper with car parts scribbled on them. While the animation features a common contemporary french style, it makes use of that by giving us simple visuals and telling a simple story. The are two cars. They’re racing. Shenanigans ensue.

At first I wasn’t sure about the choice of music in the background but the end of the film really does bring a new meaning to “Do the Locomotion”. Check out the rest of what Patea Films has to offer on the Patea Films Website.
