Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

These lamps have the ability to be placed in all sorts of interesting formations and situations, the sleek and graceful tendril like design allows for a fluid look, and a “life” like feeling when the lamps are placed together.

Industrial design is getting more crowded everyday with a flood of designers trying (hard) to constantly re-invent the wheel to set themselves apart from the rest. Peter Bristol doesn’t bother with that; his industrial design work manages to strip away all of the fluff and bring the wheel back to exactly what it was intended to be – a wheel.

Coming out this week is the, smaller, cheaper model of Sony’s Playstation 3. Heavenly rumored and expected for most of the year and finally, officially announced three weeks ago. This is the week that in Japan and North America you can walk into a store and come out with the new version of the console.
